CVE-2025-34291

Langflow Origin Validation Error Vulnerability

Langflow Langflow

Langflow versions up to and including 1.6.9 contain a chained vulnerability that enables account takeover and remote code execution. An overly permissive CORS configuration (allow_origins='*' with allow_credentials=True) combined with a refresh token cookie configured as SameSite=None allows a malicious webpage to perform cross-origin requests that include credentials and successfully call the refresh endpoint. An attacker-controlled origin can therefore obtain fresh access_token / refresh_token pairs for a victim session. Obtained tokens permit access to authenticated endpoints — including built-in code-execution functionality — allowing the attacker to execute arbitrary code and achieve full system compromise.

Exploitation status

CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities

Listed by CISA on 21 May 2026. US federal agencies were required to remediate it by 4 June 2026.

EPSS — exploitation probability

FIRST puts the probability of exploitation activity in the next 30 days at 83.8%, which is higher than 99.7% of all scored vulnerabilities. EPSS is a forecast of activity, not a measure of severity, and it is rescored daily.

CVE-2025-34291 is rated HIGH with a CVSS base score of 8.8. EPSS puts the probability of exploitation in the next 30 days at 83.8%, higher than 99.7% of all scored vulnerabilities. It is listed in the CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog, with a federal remediation deadline of 4 June 2026.

How should organisations respond to CVE-2025-34291?

Apply the vendor patch for Langflow Langflow as the first priority, and treat any internet-facing instance as the most urgent. Because this vulnerability is associated with ransomware activity, also review whether the affected systems were reachable before patching, rather than assuming that patching alone closes the incident.
